Our cause is to feed, educate, clothe, and bring clean water to children in Africa while having a good time with friends!



We are teaming up with an amazing non-profit organization called Bands that Jam for Africa which has been organizing concerts to raise money for kids in Africa since 2008. One of the bands, Lancifer, will be coming to Groves High School!

You may be asking why or what is this event all about?

Let me start by answering why. Have you ever seen or heard about something that turns your stomach or makes you clench your fists. There is this indescribable pull in your heart that you feel like you have to do something about the issue at hand. Whether or not you have had this feeling before, hopefully you have an idea of what I'm talking about. It was this feeling that I just described to you that a group of us felt when we heard about the need of these children in Africa. We could not simply "unsee" or "unhear" this issue. We could either walk away and ignore it, being fully aware of the suffering, or we could step up and do something.   We decided to do something!

Now moving on to the question of what is this event? This is an event designed to help the children of Africa while having a good time doing it! Helping people doesn't have to be a chore or a boring act. Helping someone in need can be made just as fun as that party you went to Friday night, and it just might be a whole lot more rewarding!
